It’s day zero of CES, also known as Press Day, however the announcements have been coming fast and hard for the last couple of days. Earlier this week, Toshiba took the wraps off of the first of what we expect to be many Tegra 2-powered devices at CES.
Tegra 2 aside, Toshiba has actually managed to cram in some pretty decent specs. Packing a 10.1-inch, 1280x800 display, the tablet boasts a 5-megapixel camera in the back and a 2-megapixel camera in the front. Also present is support for USB, HDMI, mini-USB, SD and interchangable back covers (which means, yes, you can a replace the battery yourself).
Toshiba has yet to name a price for this little beauty and there’s no word on a release date as the company is supposedly waiting for Android Honeycomb before launching the device. With no price or release date, it would almost be silly to have a name, so Toshiba hasn’t revealed that either, but hopefully we’ll get a peek at it at CES this week. Perhaps we’ll be able to charm some information out of the Toshiba crowd too!
