We Need New Chat Box

I dont know if anyone else see it. But no one chat box any more and i think it because of three reasons and those reason are:

One: You have to log in to chat too way to much work.

Two: You need to be on main page of the forums to used the chat yet again way too much work.

Three: Need more colors then blue green and red and white because not even one like this colors as there name when they type so we need more opinions.

These changes would make the chat box so much better i think and get more people to used it more often

well, those are the rank colors, and ive visited a lot of Official forums and they dont have a rank color variety either, SPADEZ is right, it makes it look like a rainbow and new users wont know who is a MOD or ADMIN

ONE: In my opinion, I like this site just the way it is. The log in button on the chat box allows people who wish to use it to do so, if they do not feel like using it, they have the option not to. It's not work at all to simply click a button, pure lazyness if anybody thinks clicking a button is a ton of work, perhaps we all need to hold hands too?

TWO: I have noticed the chatbox on multiple pages, not just the main page so I'm not sure what you're talking about with that one. You can also have the chatbox open in its own window/tab.

THREE: All the colors that were on the site before were okay, but I think the site looks better now. As iRaz said, not too many forums even allow users to have color ranks, only staff members. The site would look too colorful having too many members with so many colors. We don't need a rainbow on this forum. Thats just ugly..

I see what you are trying to suggest here but I would have to disagree.

The chatbox is fine the way it is. lol, hovering your cursor to log-in button is hardly constituted as work in order to get in the chat box. Color scheme is great; it's an improvement. Chat box was disabled from being on every single page to improve and avoid site lag. If you want a chat box open at all times, open it up as a separate page. That way you can browse the forum and chat at the same time. I say to leave it the way it is. If it's one thing I despise about browsing a site, it's lag.

lol I'd have to agree with razo, ben wars and meesh. The chatbox was set up the way it is for a reason. Everything you may think of now to improve the CB, I have already thought of. In fact, most of the things you suggested was already possible in the earlier days of EN.

Since I set up the chatbox as an iframe code, it created lag because the site had to load 2 pages in 1, that is what an "iframe" is, another page loading inside of a page. Too much lag. I am however working on a way to make the chatbox on all areas of the forum without the lag.

I did set up a color for each rank on EN, however the amount of colors on EN for users were becoming too much. Anyone who is a new member on EN would be confused. Its easier to keep track of who the members are from the staff on EN now. I like things to be clean and EN to look professional. Some forums don't even allow users to have colors as ben wars stated. I also don't see how the members color is a reflection on the chatbox.

I also don't see how clicking a button is so much work lol. It's not like u have to register to the chatbox, seperately from the forum itself like some sites have it set up ;x.

The chatbox has its days. Most days it'll be filled and thriving, other days it's just chillin'. Just all depends on who's online at the moment and who's caught up in the actual forum reading posts. Usually if we log into the chatbox, people will start to follow and see what's going on in there. Just wish we didn't have to get automatically booted after a specific amount of time. I mean it's no biggie to keep logging in- lol not that hard to click a button..but yeah, I personally like the chatbox we have now. Believe me, I've seen some janky chatboxes.

Lol, everyone's entitled to their own opinions and suggestions are always welcome here at the EN. It's just that everyone won't always agree with suggestions/opinions that someone may have. By all means, don't let it stop you from suggesting or posting an opinion you might have about something. We like that kind of feedback, whether it's positive or negative; it helps to better the site. It's good to know so that adjustments can be made if need be, for convenience and improvement.

The admin works hard at keeping the site up to par, always thinking of improvements and ways to bring the forum to its full potential. The EN appreciates all ideas that anyone may have. If anything, it makes it easier to get an idea of what needs or should be done. We also appreciate all those that have contributed to the site, keeping it active. Just proves to show that we're doing something right.

Keep it posting, stay active, and most of all, enjoy your time by making the most of EN!

yo i think top posters should have a diffrent color when they achieve top poster likee a vip rank for very important person on the site which makes the site what it is without them there is no site so i was thinking of the color purple or orange lol idk you decide

Yeah be nice to give the people different color then others. Like at 500 and 1000 post. Because right now you need 1500 to be other color and that is a lot of posts

Aslo would love mute feature or ignore bottom ^_^
