Home 1.4 Chat System
Channels
There are three chat channels in Home:
• Local
• Club
• Group
Local
You always start off in this channel when you log into Home.
Local chat is text only.
Local chat works between nearby players in the same space.
The local channel’s colour is white and it uses the “[L]” prefix.
Club
The club channel is available when you are a member of a club.
Club chat is text and voice.
Club chat works between all members of a club wherever they are in Home.
The club channel’s colour is green and it uses the “[C]” prefix.
You can only use text and voice with one club at a time. If you are a member of multiple clubs then you will need to use the option menu to change which club is associated with the club channel each time you want to chat with a different one.
When you join a club you will automatically join and switch to that club’s channel.
You are notified in the chat log when other players join your club channel.
Group
The group channel is available when you are a member of a group.
Group chat is text and voice.
Group chat works between all members of a group wherever they are in Home.
The group channel’s colour is blue and it uses the “[G]” prefix.

You are notified in the chat log when other players join your group channel.
Tabs
There are two tabs in the chat log:
• Text
• Voice
When the chat log is maximised you can switch between tabs by pressing [LEFT] and [RIGHT] on the d-pad.
On the label of each tab the colour of the text and the prefix indicates which channel is active.
The heading of your current tab also tells you which channel is active and, in the case of the club channel, which club is associated too.
You can have a different channel active for text and voice at the same time. For example you can be typing into local text chat while listening and talking into your group’s voice chat.
