Help Wanted

PS Home Gazette is an online pro-PlayStation website that strives to bring you up to date information about the things you care most about. From gaming to PlayStation Home we have you covered. We are constantly growing and are looking to expand our weekly content.

PS Home Gazette is looking for writers to contribute to the Gazette on a weekly basis.
If you have the drive and passion about writing we would like to encourage you to join our team. We are not owned by Sony and are solely a fan based site. All contact is done solely via email; there are no official meetings and no clubhouse at this time.

Positions Available: More than one person can be accepted per each category.

Talent Scout: Team members will be responsible for Homebrew which publishes every Monday. Homebrew covers any PlayStation user-created material.

Material included but not limited to:

Podcasts, videos, Drawings, Machinima, Magazines, etc.

Game Enthusiast: Team members will be responsible for writing game reviews and/or supplying the Gazette with up to date Game trailers, news, etc. Most Game related material will post on Tuesdays unless it is time sensitive.

PlayStation Home Enthusiast: Team members will be responsible for letting the Editor-in-Chief know which items they wish to review each week. Each issue will publish every Wednesday.

Material included but not limited to:

New Spaces, New Games, New Clothing, Active Items, Furniture, Pets, etc.

Home Event Manager: Team member must be extremely active in PlayStation Home. Responsibilities include scouting out upcoming User created events, gaming events and/or Parties in Home. As well as be informed of any upcoming Official Events in Home. Home Event Manager must be able to work together with the Game Event Manager to coordinate events. Events will Publish each Thursday unless time sensitive.

Game Event Manager: Team members will be responsible for scouting out upcoming user created Game events as well as official Game Events. Game Event Manager must be able to work together with the Home Event Manager to coordinate events. Events will Publish each Thursday unless time sensitive.

Additional Skills:

Must be able to work as a team, PS Home Gazette is a team effort.

Must enjoy the category you choose. What’s the point of taking part in something, unless you’re having fun?

Must be able to meet deadlines! This is a volunteer project, if something comes up we understand. Just let the Editor know. Communication is the key.

Home Community Poetry Contest
Aloha, friends of HomeStation Magazine!

HSM has decided to launch its first ever community event, and we want you to be in it!

Our first community event will be a Home poetry contest. Submissions will be accepted until April 15th in a special, dedicated thread in the HSM forum; if you haven’t been to the HSM forum before, just click the “Forum” tab on the main page of this website (you’ll need to be a registered user with us in order to leave a post). At that point, a panel of judges (see below) will vote for the five best entries, and the top five poems will be announced and published in Issue #5 of HomeStation Magazine AND receive PSN cards as prizes!

Here are the submission rules:

1. All submissions may be in any poetry format — rhyming couplets, freeform, sestina, terza rima, haiku, strophic, iambic tetrameter, etc. — but must be written in English.

2. All submissions must be no stronger than a PG-13 rating (for our UK readers, no stronger than a 15 rating).

3. All submissions must in some way be related to Home.

4. All submissions may be used in perpetuity by HomeStation Magazine in any form or medium desired and for any reason.

5. All submissions will be voted upon by a panel of judges. Their voting will remain confidential, and their decision is final. The judges for this competition each represent a different Home media group. They are:

Now let’s talk about the prizes, shall we?

The Grand Prize winner will receive a code for a $50 PSN card!

One Runner Up winner will receive a code for a $20 PSN card.

Three Honorable Mention winners will each receive a code for a $10 PSN card.

(Please keep in mind that the value of the cards is in US dollars, and all standard usage rules and restrictions apply.)

And, don’t forget, all five prize-winning entries will be announced and published in Issue #5 of HomeStation Magazine!*
