by Elfin Lied is a bit gorey of a anime. The story is pretty serious and depressing, but touching. Elfin Lied is about special people whom have evolved into having the capabilities (multiple hands) that can tare apart a average human being. The main character Lucy had a harsh life as she grew up. When she finally breaks free from the military facility, she loses her mind and forgets what she is. As the military works on taking her back, Lucy is able to get back with a old childhood friend. Within the series Lucy's past is retold = gives an understanding to how complicated her life is.
