I thought Vicky would find this entertaining since they are talking about his love affair with a virtual idol. "She's not real!"

Vicky said he went to one of those concerts in Japan. I'm pretty sure he was lying though. On his jp trip he was showing off pictures from somebody else's blog.

What is this morons making fun of something they know nothing about

Plus she did a concert in New York Plus has more coming for other country. Pretty good for virtual program that was made for bands that didn't have a lead singer. Toyota Now using Miku to sell there cars There was a two game called diva project made by sega (There working on third one now) because how popular a computer program was getting. There having concert in american of a virtual diva. In SCEJ she so popular they made a whole event in home with a outfit and Had event ever since for hatsune Miku birthday. Had Virtual concert in real japan too. Not bad for a virtual singer

Pray to your otaku god some more. Her music kinda sucks actually, I don't know why she's so popular? Oh wait, yeah I do. The otakus perv her up. Hug pillows to hump at night? Because you're so into her I dislike her even more now. Vocaloids will never replace a real human being.

Jealous much? Miku has more fun then most if not all real artist is know world wide and there demand for concerts of her.
Vocaloids are not ment to replace the real thing. There for then a band doesn't have a real singer. Its no different between this then real artist using auto tune Oatkus are nerds. Nerds rule the technical world. Nerd make more money and can spend more on there hobbies In today society benign Oatku is not longer a bad thing. Gonna break this one down, just because it seems like a clever way to start a Tuesday.

Vicky wrote:Jealous much? Miku has more fun then most if not all real artist is know world wide and there demand for concerts of her.
Miku is not real, the program is incapable of fun. Hiroyuki Ito might be having fun, as the President of Crypton Future Media, who manages the Miku Hatsune brand. But even then he's likely struggling with the same life bullshit every entertainment CEO faces.

Vicky wrote:Vocaloids are not ment to replace the real thing. There for then a band doesn't have a real singer.
Vocaloid software is designed to be a replacement for the human voice in a musical setting. Saying that they are for a band who doesn't have a real singer is EXACTLY the same as saying that they are meant to replace the real thing. They are meant to replace the band's REAL singer. Just because a pop star's band isn't featured doesn't mean that they aren't a group.. even if they are digital/studio only.

Vicky wrote:Its no different between this then real artist using auto tune
    This is true.

    Vicky wrote: Oatkus are nerds.
Not entirely true. There are PLENTY of Otaku folks who are not nerd at all, they are just so socially disconnected from their physical surroundings (socially), that they seek out non-local cultures to identify with because they can better mold the internal image to their needs. This is true for Anglophiles, Francophiles and Otakus alike. To classify them as strictly nerds alienates a very large percentage of the Otaku population, and is entirely unfair to them.

Vicky wrote:Nerds rule the technical world.
Also untrue. Business savvy professionals run the technological world. Control the money, and you control the flow of power and information. This is all that matters, at ANY point in modern history. (Aside from social revolutions, which were (at their core) attempts to shift the balance of power... which required a shift in flow of revenue.

Vicky wrote:Nerd make more money and can spend more on there hobbies In today society benign Oatku is not longer a bad thing.
Anyone can make money. All they have to do is have the drive, and be professionally fit. CEO's and medical professionals make the money (source: salarytutor.com). In your idea that tech junkies are making they money, this is incorrect. They are either working for The Man (some CEO), or succeeded against all odds with a start up that they sold for bank. Doing the latter requires the business savvy mentioned previously, and shifts them quite out of the nerd realm.

I actually support the idea of grooving on these concerts. it's the same as me going to go see some electronica show. Some person spent hours working on their tracks, and came to the stadium to spin the tunes for a few hours. I get it. But to be a fan of the hologram and not the artist blows my mind.
