Sony Online Entertainment shuts down services due to 'concerning issue'

Sony Online Entertainment today suspended its network operations — including its games, websites, and Facebook projects — as a result of a 'concerning issue' discovered during an investigation into the recent PlayStation Network security breach.

"We have had to take the SOE service down temporarily," reads a brief statement on the SOE website. "In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately."


SOE last week stated that its customer data was unaffected by the PlayStation Network data breach. "We have been conducting a thorough investigation and, to the best of our knowledge, no customer personal information got out to any unauthorized person or persons," said a Sony representative on the SOE forums.

SOE promised to provide an update later today.

Thats they problem about PS3, is the most powerful console but doesn't have dedicated Servers
And i preffer Online entertainment over game graphics/loading,

LOL, they dont let us do it because they dont want to, they can just easily throw an update to give us the feature to do that, no hardware changes needed, btw, XBox has 6 USB slots, ps3 only have 2, and you can use a USB like a drive to save full games if you dont have memory on your HDD, but i doubt it

sure you can if jailbreak system which is aslo way more simpler on the ps3. Even without online gaming ps3 still kick the crap box ass d:
