Are you getting Mortal Kombat 9?

With April 19th around the corner, the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 9 game is coming with a ton of expectation and promise! I personally cannot wait for this game. Every other day the official MK Facebook page is always providing updates on the game and man the videos that come out promoting each character in the game looks absolutely amazing. I have pre-ordered my copy at Gamestop, comes with the Scorpion classic alt costume and classic fatality.

Is anyone else getting this game!?

To me, MK was cool back in the 90s cause it was the first game i seen that had realistic people in it decapitating and incinerating each other like "Whoa" lol. Oh ya, and Blood , i guess lol. But now i just see it as a clumsy street fighter clone. I really do hope they changed the fighting system ( i havent played MK since Mortal Kombat Trilogy on N64 ..) That inputting a combo like your dialing-a-phone-number thing was uber-retarded to me back in the day lmao

I played the game last night, picked up the midnight launch, which I usually don't do for games but being that I'm such a huge MK fan I just had to get it. The game is pretty damn sick, the fatalities are awesome and the story mode is intensively more indepth and detailed, like the MK vs DC story mode but better! I'm so glad they created the story mode with live characters with voices and personalities. Most recent MK games just give u a character ending with a photo of that character and a narrator telling you a brief story of what happens after there victory, meh. So far I'm very pleased with this game and cant wait to master the moves/abilities on the characters.

Picked it up last night. I really just intended on getting Portal 2, but when it was staring me right in the face, I got both. Spadez is absolutely right when he says that this versions story mode is sick. When I fired it up it didn't give me a chance to pick characters and I was like WTF, but once I got rolling and ran through a couple of the chapters I was hooked. Passed the pad with my woman till we went to bed and, were it not for having to get to work today we'd have stayed up till we beat it.

I'm not a hardcore fighting game player, but I'm *very* pleased with this offering. My woman *is* a hardcore fighting game player and she loves the title, too. So it's great fun for all types of gamers, so far.

I'd recommend it.
