Dubstep Awards 2011

Pretty sure there are a few dubstep fans on this site, so I'm dropping this link here. For the fans, you probably know most of these names and/or tracks. For the casual listener, here's a chance to broaden your horizons with some of the best music the dubstep scene had to offer for 2010.

The selections this year totally went for the deep down low sound. Much more mellow, but ungh, your sub will <3 u if you check out what they selected.

Best Producer: Ramadanman
Best Track: Mala - Education
Best Remix: Lung - Afterlife (Kryptic Minds Remix)
Best Album: Digital Mystikz - Return II Space

Personally, I have no idea how Flux Pavilion's remix of Cracks didn't win best remix, but whatevs. And I have a ridonkulous amount of respect for Eskimo, so I wish he'd have won Best Track. Regardless, here are the big winners, plus Flux Pavilion's Cracks remix just because i bump the fuck out of that track every single chance I get (including now).

actually, the only song i like from there is the one remixed by Flux, good song to make COD montages, btw why isnt Skrillex there? he's my fav.

Mt Eden needs to jump in that and try earning a dubstep award, his sierra leone remix is a dubstep hit on youtube

I agree, flux is a more common name than the others and that remix in the 3 songs listed in the OP is a big hit as well. Probably not my fave but definitely one of my fave dubstep songs none the less.

I love love love Cracks by Flux. Definitely a best remix track. I also dig the other 2 tracks. I'm a fan of all types of dubstep- whether it's the mellow 4 a.m. wind down dub, from the straight out the ass fking raw dubbs, grimey, ultra grimey, super dubba dirty all up in your belly button grimey- if it gives me eargasms, it gets a thumbs up from me.

Yeah, I think a lot of the pplz in the industry are trying to like, legitimize(?) it by selling it as a wind down genre. I dunno, I've always been the dude trying to break windows with dubstep, and I go to different genres to mellow out.

Skrillex is an example of what I like. Kutz, Bannerwerks, Cyrus, Seven, Slugs & Boyson, etc.
