I hope this is now clear to users who wish to use this feature.
Please don't thank people for every little thing, give thanks to the deserving post!
- The
button is only available to the topic Author (creator). - The button can only be used ONCE per topic by the topic Author.
- Once a post has been thanked, the button will display
and the post will turn green. - Each time you receive a "Thanks" you will be granted $3 in forum cash.
- The purpose of the button is for the topic Author to thank the user who provided the best answer to the topic.
- Example: The Author makes a topic asking "How do I change my avatar?". A user replies with a nice elaborate answer and the Author uses the button to thank him or her for their help. Thanks it!
- How is this useful? Well, if somebody is in need of an answer, they can search the forums, find a topic with a similar question to theirs and see the green post that stands out, which would be the answer they are most likely seeking.
