Yes, I noticed those problems too. Hopefully they fix them soon. By stealing do you mean by putting something on their heads? I stole once when I started to play the game, didn't use any method, just took something I liked. But I don't see myself stealing again. There's already a way to be a thief and get away with it.. I'm not going to spoil the goods on that but if your interested just look it up on youtube. I had to laugh at it, once I seen how it was done. The world is a big world.. and yeah it will take you a while to go place to place. But the game is what you make it... you can choose to stick to one particular quest and follow that everywhere it leads, or you can do multiple and in the course of running around end up doing more in a shorter time.
The quests will generate forever, so as long as you choose to play the game, you'll never be completely done with it. The dragons look good as far as there mechanics go. I haven't seen enough to really give my full opinion on it...

Then when you get thrown in the slammer you can lockpick your way out and escape! Make your thief a wood elf and a bow since they are good with dex.
