The UFC will be invading the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts for UFC 118 and we have the official event poster to prove it.
Although the event was officially announced on the same night that Dana White’s beloved Boston Celtics lost the NBA Finals to the defending back-to-back champion Los Angeles Lakers, the promotion didn’t released the poster until today.
The UFC’s first foray into Boston will also be 155-pound champ Frankie Edgar’s first title defense, as he’ll defend against BJ Penn, the man he won the title from at UFC 112.
In the co-main evnt, former pro boxer James Toney will make his mixed martial arts debut against Randy Couture, one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the Octagon and a former two division champion.
UFC 118 will take place on August 28th, but tickets for the event go on sale starting June 23rd for UFC Fight Club members.
Newsletter subscribers and the general public will have to wait until the 24th and 25th respectively if they want to get their hands on some tickets.
