Re: New Computer
Whatever you do don't buy a MAC... Lol. If you're tech savvy go shopping at new egg and buy all the parts separate to save some dough then build it yourself. If you're lazy and don't want to build it yourself you could try ibuypower and pick out the parts. Or you could go to some computer elitists like alienware and give the life of your unborn child for it.

You're laughing at what? I don't even have an Alienware you doofus. You should go back and read my last post. It was a joke that obviously went so far over your head in your spite of me that you didn't see it clearly anymore. Alienware wasn't owned by Dell the whole time, they were bought by Dell. They are still under the Alienware brand and they have the same people working there. The only difference is now Dell owns them. You're so full of PC hate Vicky it's laughable.

And if you're not tech savvy, read up on how to build a PC.... then....
It's really not all that hard, and once you do it.. you can fix and repair your rig for the rest of your life.. saving you thousands and thousands of dollars, especially if you are a PC gamer. I haven't bought a PC in fucking ages due to this. I just buy parts when i need them. The first time I made one I had very little clue what I was doing, but I got through it, and now I have ZERO hesitation when working on a box.
And if you live like this.. in a few years you'll have spare parts lying around the house. You can build back up machines.. or throw in an old part to fill the time gap between a burned out video card and the new one being shipped in. If you are a serious PC gamer.. knowing how to build your own box is a definitive "must". If you can't do it. Learn. You'll be glad you did.
If you want advice on this, or on specific parts. I'm sure many on these boards would be glad to help.

Re: New Computer
After all, I can't afford a fancy PC, just a regular laptop that works ok with everything except with complex games.Vicky wrote:iRaz wrote:Remember Vicky is an Apple fanboy...PyroPhoenix wrote:You're laughing at what? Re: New Computer
My only hesitation to building my own is creating an expensive blunder for myself. Like buying everything I want without the correct power supply. That, or the fact that I really don't have the time. I mean I could make time, sure. But from my perspective, if I'm going to buy expensive parts then I don't mind shelling out a few in order to make sure they are put together right. Also, if someone else does it I may have the opportunity of getting a warranty.
I know I can build the pc myself. I am more than capable. My other job (day-job) aside from inventing is working as a service technician for sprint. I troubleshoot software and hardware malfunctions all the time. This also includes complete dis-assembly of the dell netbooks and the larger cell phones such as the Evo or Galaxy S II.
Basically, I just don't wanna f anything up. lol... I also don't know of everything I need and don't wanna have to search all over the internet looking for something that I may or may not have missed.

True, the best Gaming PCs are the ones you build by getting separate parts.bmarzke wrote:My only hesitation to building my own is creating an expensive blunder for myself. Re: New Computer
I still say go with NewEgg, They have some mind numbing deals on built machines form time to time. And their user reviews section is very honest. Also their search function is very robust, so you can narrow it down to exactly what you want/need
