FPS Current Gen Conversation

Is anyone from this board planning on buying this game for the PS3?

If so, are you in a clan already, or will you be looking for a new crew to roll with? I've only dabbled with FPS games on the consoles, and I've decided to give MW3 a legit attempt. Figured I'd start here to see about what others thought about the game.. and maybe find a clan.

Which platform are you going to buy it for?

i played MW2 but just the solo campaign. Totally not an online FPS guy, but want to give it a short this gen. Maybe I should be leaning toward BF3. But I heard BF3 was a much better experience on the PC... So now I'm all brands of confused!

True, I still dont get how can cod fanboys call us fanboys because we want to play the best FPS of the year... And the funniest part is that they think mw3 will innovate and be epic, just like they thought about black ops, and it sucked

Dedicated servers alone wins. In my eyes, an online game doesn't have to have features or even be all that pretty. I give just about two fucks about that shit typically. I care about community, always will.

That said, people have been telling me for a while (pre-E3) that *if* I play BF3, then I need to do it on PC, for the visual aspect, as well as a broader community. The community comment is likely subjective, but the visual aspect thing might hold some weight. Has there been much forthcoming discussion from DICE about how Frostbite 2 runs on the different platforms?

I don't get it, BF developers said that the PS3 version was gonna be superior to the xbox version.
Don't PS3 render 1080p better than xbox? Also I heard PS3 version will have exclusive content plus it will be 1 CD instead of 2 xbox CDs,(1 for campaing and another for multiplayer)
